PEBA

Next-generation flexibility

Spectrum PEBA is a premium-class flexible filament that combines the elasticity of rubber with the durability of an engineering polymer. Based on Polyether Block Amide (PEBA) copolymer, it represents a new generation of flexible 3D printing materials – lighter, more dynamic, and more durable than TPU. Thanks to its unique molecular structure, Spectrum PEBA doesn’t absorb and dampen energy like typical TPU but stores and releases it instead. This ensures an exceptionally fast return to the original shape and outstanding material responsiveness.

Dynamic resilience – the High Rebound effect

The high rebound effect makes prints made from Spectrum PEBA behave dynamically and springy – instead of absorbing impact energy, they return it in the form of a bounce. In practice, this means that a ball printed from PEBA will bounce off the ground, and damping or sports components retain their lightness and remarkable responsiveness.

Engineered for performance in any conditions

The filament features a Shore hardness of 92A and an elongation at break exceeding 500%, maintaining its mechanical and elastic properties over a wide temperature range from –40°C to +80°C. Spectrum PEBA remains flexible and dimensionally stable where other elastomers lose their properties. Additionally, its low density (1.02 g/cm³) allows the creation of lightweight, resilient, and durable functional parts.

Stable printing process and excellent adhesion

Spectrum PEBA ensures outstanding interlayer adhesion and a stable printing process. Its exceptional elasticity allows the production of damping elements, flexible hinges, sports components, and protective parts with long service life. The filament is easy to print on direct-drive printers, while its optimal balance between hardness (92A) and flexibility enables great results even at moderate print speeds.
