Spectrum Filaments is expanding its product range with two new materials – ABS Medical and PET-G FX120. New materials have been developed for applications in both technology and medicine. The 3D printing of medical components is a complicated matter, and the materials apart from their specific mechanical properties must be biocompatible, which is confirmed by appropriate certificates.

The past year was particularly intense one for Spectrum Filaments. The company, spreading the popularity of its solutions in the field of additive technology, went on a kind of tour throughout Europe familiarising both professionals and amateurs of 3D printing with its products.

Spectrum’s ceramic filaments are based on polyamide, which distinguishes them from other, related 3D printing materials in wire form, such as the relatively toxic POM.

One of the most important trade fairs for additive manufacturing and modern industrial manufacturing is Formnext in Frankfurt.

A new line of filaments specifically aimed at industry will be unveiled at Formnext 2019.
