Pellet PET-G Carbon

Spectrum FGF Pellet PET-G Carbon

Highest quality PET-G with improved hardness and stiffness parameters

Spectrum Pellet PET-G Carbon is a high-quality material for 3D printing designed for large-format 3D printers using FGF technology. The main advantage of 3D printers that enable printing directly from pellets is characterized by higher efficiency as compared to printing with use of traditional filaments, which results in significantly reduced time required for models’ production. Regardless of whether you create prototypes or produce large-scale models, our pellets will meet your needs.

Spectrum FGF Pellet PET-G Carbon is a material that was enriched with carbon fiber, ensuring a significant increase in stiffness, hardness and tensile strength while maintaining low shrinkage and very good adhesion to working platforms typical of pure PET-G. The 10% addition of carbon fiber allows you to obtain matte surfaces of the manufactured elements, which significantly increases the aesthetic value of the printed elements.

Tip: Due to the significant content of crushed carbon fiber, it is recommended to use nozzles with larger diameters than standard 0.4 mm. In addition, the presence of carbon fiber may cause brass nozzles to wear out, so it is recommended to use stainless steel nozzles for long-term use of Spectrum PET-G Carbon Pellet.

Material characteristics

  • improved hardness and rigidity as compared to the pure PET-G
  • higher plasticization temperaturÄ™ as compared to the pure PET-G
  • improved abrasion resistance
  • VICAT 80°C
  • much higher compression resistance as compared to the pure PET-G
  • good mechanical properties
  • high aesthetic, matte surface quality
  • no shrinkage after cooling

Applications

  • items which need to be very rigid and hard while maintaining dimensional accuracy
  • manufacturing of spacer components subject to static compressive loads
  • concept and demo prototyping of designed finished and semi-finished products
  • ornamental parts (aesthetic properties)
  • external structural components which emphasize the product
  • prototyping
