Maker Faire has its roots in the USA. Americans call it “The Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth”. Maker Faire is an exhibition of inventions, an amusement park and at the same time something completely new. It is a family-friendly festival of innovation, creativity and technology. Creatives gather here to present their projects to a wide audience.
Makers are usually DIY enthusiasts, creative minds or technology experts who like to tinker. For some exhibitors, taking part in Maker Faire is the beginning of something big.
Spectrum Filaments on Maker Faire Prague
Our adventure at these great events just began few years ago at Maker Faire Prague. This year, between 11 – 12 September, we participated in the next edition of Maker Faire in Prague, Czech Republic. The Výstaviště Praha hall was filled with a large number of visitors from the first day, and we had the pleasure to welcome many satisfied users of our filaments at our stand.
Our new materials met with great interest, among others:
rPLA – an environmentally friendly 3D printing material winded on a cardboard spool that fits perfectly with the sustainability initiative, and
ASA 275 – very popular, professional material that is resistant to UV radiation and other weather conditions.
Possibilities the creators receive from Maker Faire
Maker Faire is a festival that hosts enthusiasts of creativity, DIY and modern technologies. Since we definitely belong to this group, we had a lot of fun. This year’s edition was an event full of workshops, interactive games and fun, and a place to meet people who are like us.
The festival was attended by many makers and companies who presented their latest discoveries and innovative products. Thanks to them, we have learned many interesting things that can be applied into our high quality and modern 3D printing filaments!
See you at the next edition in 2022, ahoj!
